The International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic & Social Sustainability is hosted each year with a leading institution. Recent and upcoming partners include the University of Aveiro (Portugal), the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the University of the Aegean (Greece), and the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa). Each edition engages a Special Focus that addresses urgent challenges in climate action, resource stewardship, and social transformation.
The On Sustainability Journal Collection publishes peer-reviewed research spanning environmental science, governance and policy, sustainable economies, social innovation, and cultural dimensions of sustainability. Articles undergo double-anonymous review guided by a transparent rubric, emphasizing methodological rigor, conceptual clarity, practical relevance, and constructive feedback.
The On Sustainability Book Imprint supports monographs and edited volumes that translate research into frameworks for practitioners, educators, civic leaders, and policymakers—linking evidence with implementation across contexts.
The Network extends through CGScholar, a digital ecosystem supporting member engagement. Scholars and practitioners share profiles, papers, and projects year-round—connecting conference presentations, journal and book publications, in one integrated research environment.

The Network’s leadership provides overall direction and stewardship—shaping priorities, supporting programs, and sustaining an inclusive, scholar-led community. The Founding Chair was Amareswar Galla, whose tenure established the Network’s global, interdisciplinary scope; since 2016 the Chair has been David Humphreys, with José Gutiérrez-Pérez serving as Spanish-language Chair.
