Andrés Landerretche graduated as a lawyer from the University of Chile and has a master's degree in environmental law from Kings College, London. He has more than 16 years of international experience working in the diplomatic service of Chile with assignments in South Africa and the United Nations in New York. He also has significant practice in the field of external affairs, communications, community relations, and government affairs across various BHP Billiton businesses in Chile and Australia. He has been a lecturer of public international law at the Universidad del Desarrollo and of sustainable development at the Chilean Diplomatic Academy. Currently, he is the coordinator of the COP25 Presidency at the Chilean Ministry of Environment and was the spokesperson at the Chile-Madrid Conference.
