Dr. Tomislav Tkalec
Dr. Tomislav Tkalec covers energy issues in the organization for over 10 years. Main experiences are connected to energy transition, renewables, community-based RES projects, energy efficiency and energy poverty topics, and work on policy processes related to energy efficiency and renewables in Slovenia and EU. He is involved in several processes for developing national EU legislation in the field of RES and energy efficiency, whereby cooperates with European NGO networks, decision-makers and experts in the field. Has experience in energy poverty elimination through practical measures (IEE projects Achieve and REACH), promotion of RES, networking with various actors from energy field and community-based energy projects. He is currently part of the LIFE Unify project, LIFE IP CARE4CLIMATE, and HORIZON2020 EmpowerMed project. Obtained BA degree in political science in 2008 and PhD in 2016 with a dissertation on Political aspects of decentralization of electricity generation.
